Taylor Tharp is a tattoo artist based in Arizona with a deep-rooted passion for black and grey realism. Originally from Malibu, California, his love for art began early through sketching and self-expression — long before it became a career.
After serving four years in the U.S. Army as a Signal Support Systems Specialist, Taylor explored paths like private security and real estate. His time in the military taught him discipline, structure, and how to adapt in high-pressure situations — qualities that now influence his approach to tattooing and his work ethic as an artist. In 2019, he took a leap of faith, began a tattoo apprenticeship, and everything clicked into place.
Today, Taylor is fully dedicated to the craft of tattooing — a career that’s become his passion and purpose. He’s constantly pushing himself to evolve as an artist, focusing on bold, high-detail work that tells a story and stands the test of time. Tattooing gives him the creative freedom he was searching for and the opportunity to connect with people on a deeper level. Whether it’s your first tattoo or an addition to an existing collection, Taylor approaches every piece with care, precision, and the intention to bring your vision to life.
