Terms of Service

Updated Date: July 15, 2026

1. About These Terms

These terms cover your use of taylortharptattoo.com and any appointment you book with Taylor Tharp Tattoo. Taylor is a tattoo artist working from Monarch Studios, a permanent commercial studio at 8801 N Central Ave Unit 101, Phoenix, AZ 85020. By booking an appointment or using this site, you agree to these terms. Every tattoo also requires a consent and health form signed in the studio before any work begins. That signed form controls the tattoo procedure itself; these terms cover everything around it.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to be tattooed. Phoenix city law prohibits tattooing anyone under 18, even with a parent's consent, so there are no exceptions. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID to every appointment. No ID means no tattoo, and the deposit is forfeited.

3. Booking and Deposits

A deposit is required to secure any appointment. Deposits are non-refundable. Your deposit is applied to the cost of your tattoo at the final session. Deposits cannot be transferred to another person or another artist.

4. Cancellations, Reschedules, and No-Shows

Give at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. With proper notice, your deposit moves to the new date. You may reschedule up to two times before the deposit is forfeited.

The deposit is forfeited if you do not show up, cancel with less than 48 hours notice, arrive more than 30 minutes late, arrive without valid ID, arrive impaired, or request a major design change on the day of the appointment. A new deposit is required to rebook.

5. Health Disclosure and Consent

Before any work begins, you will complete and sign a consent and health history form in the studio. You agree to answer it truthfully and completely, including medical conditions, medications such as blood thinners, allergies to inks, latex, or metals, and pregnancy or nursing. Clients who are pregnant or nursing will not be tattooed. If you withhold or misstate health information, you accept full responsibility for any resulting complication.

6. Right to Refuse Service

Taylor may refuse or stop any tattoo at his sole discretion. Reasons include arriving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, requesting hateful imagery or artwork that infringes someone else's rights, or conduct that puts safety or quality at risk. When a refusal is caused by your condition or conduct, the deposit is forfeited.

7. Artwork and Copyright

All designs, drawings, and flash remain Taylor's intellectual property. Custom designs are created for your tattoo only. They are not released as digital files and may not be taken to another artist. You own the tattoo on your skin, not the right to reproduce the design. Taylor does not copy another artist's custom work; bring references as inspiration, not as something to duplicate.

8. Aftercare, Healing, and Touch-Ups

You will receive aftercare instructions after your session. Healing depends on your skin, your health, and how well you follow aftercare, so the exact look of a fully healed tattoo cannot be guaranteed. One complimentary touch-up is included within 6 months of your session, performed by Taylor. Hands, fingers, feet, face, ears, and neck are excluded because healing in those areas is unpredictable. Touch-ups needed because aftercare was not followed are charged as new work.

9. Photos and Portfolio

Completed work may be photographed for records. Photos are only used in the portfolio, on this website, or on social media if you sign a separate media release. You can decline that release, or withdraw it for future use, without it affecting your tattoo or pricing.

10. Payments and Refunds

Deposits and payments for completed work are non-refundable. If something about your tattoo is a genuine error on our side, Taylor will make it right at no charge.

11. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability

Tattooing carries inherent risks, including infection, allergic reaction to pigments, and scarring or keloids. The FDA does not regulate tattoo inks. By getting tattooed you accept these inherent risks. To the extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the tattoo. These terms supplement the consent and waiver form you sign in the studio; they do not replace it.

12. Text Messaging and SMS Terms

Taylor Tharp Tattoo offers a text messaging program for clients and prospective clients.
